Perception is NOT reality
It isn’t. It’s the impression of it. What we perceive is seldom the entire truth. There is usually more to a story—more layers to the onion.

An effort should always be made to dig deeper and gain better understanding in order to attain greater perspectives.

When we say perception is reality we justify that what others see and think is important. It is. But it is not paramount. People can be fooled into believing something that isn’t true.

What is important and paramount is to remember that perception is NOT always the reality. The person who understands this is wise and will be harder to fool.

Here is a good rule to keep in mind:  What many around you perceive will to them be very real and believable. But for you, be cautious before committing yourself one way or the other.
