Parasites

Have you noticed how bad the ticks were this year? If you live in or near woods, trees or fields, I bet you have. I’ve had to pluck them off my clothing numerous times and a few even made their way to my skin before I found them. My poor dog, Bell, also had to put up with these nasty leaching bugs.

Ticks are parasites. They take the lazy way of life. They grab on and get the benefit of a ride (and nourishment) from their victim.

Some businesses, some people, are parasites. They let others do the work. Or stake a claim and take credit for what somebody else did.

There are times when hitching a ride is necessary. In those moments, ask, disclose, or be the one to offer a ride or to lend a hand. But by all means, don’t be a parasite.
