Have you ever heard of the broken window theory? It originates from criminology and was introduced in 1982. When Rudy Giuliani was the mayor of New York, he and the NYPD Police made policies from this theory to help manage the City.In short, the theory says that crime rates rise in urban areas where broken windows and other forms of vandalism remain unattended. If you maintain the small things, like broken windows, an environment of order and lawfulness is created, thereby preventing more serious crimes from happening.

With the new year coming, why not address the broken windows in your life.
